Your representative in Switzerland under the Federal Act on Data Protection
- Art. 14–15 FADP
- Contact point for the FDPIC
- Record stored in Switzerland
- From CHF 49 a month
For companies outside Switzerland that offer goods or services to people in Switzerland. Art. 14 FADP asks for one only when all four conditions are met. Tick the ones that apply to you.

A guide, not legal advice. Companies that are not obliged often appoint a representative all the same, so that requests from Switzerland reach someone who answers in the language of the country.

Questions
Are you liable for our compliance?
No. The representative is a contact point and keeps your record; the FADP leaves the obligations, and the responsibility for them, with you as the controller.
What if the FDPIC opens an investigation?
We forward everything at once and send the FDPIC your record on request. Information and documents for the investigation come from you; we pass them on as you give them.
In which languages?
We receive requests in German, French, Italian and English and forward them to you in English or Italian. Consulting is in Italian and English.
How does the mandate end?
At any time, to the end of the period paid, on the Plan and billing page. Before it ends, remove our address from your privacy notice and name your new representative: we tell the FDPIC that we no longer represent you.
Where is your data?
Stored in Switzerland: database, files and backups in Zurich and Geneva. The list of subprocessors is public.
A summary to find your way, not legal advice: for your case the text of the law prevails.
